Do I need to be a certified diver to join?
No. The Educational Snorkeling Experience is open to non-divers age 8+. The Marine Ecology Diver Courses and the Internship require an open water certification.
How long do the programs run?
Educational Snorkeling is a half day. Marine Ecology Diver Courses run as a multi-day SSI specialty. The Internship is a longer structured placement. Exact durations are on indocoral.org.
Which ecology track should I pick; coral, turtle, or reef fish?
All three follow the same format with a different focus. Pick coral for reef restoration, turtle for marine reptile ecology, or reef fish for population monitoring.
